Hello, this is Miyanouchi from relative.
Thank you for always reading my blog.
I recently read a book called 2034: Future Predictions – Tomorrow with AI (You).
The author is Satoshi Nakajima.
A former Microsoft super-engineer—Satoshi Nakajima—who brought us everyday essentials like right-click, double-click, and drag-and-drop. These features, which he implemented while developing Windows 95, have since become global standards.
He left Microsoft in 2000, later founded a company that grew into an in-car software giant, selling it for 35.2 billion yen. Today, he’s still at the forefront of software development, earning global acclaim as an engineer.
His latest book dropped on February 27th, so I grabbed a copy right away.
Forget “future predictions”—this feels like reality unfolding. The book unfolds through five short stories:
- Chapter 1: AI’s “Great Reset” of Life-and-Death Perspectives
- Chapter 2: Life After Smartphones with “24/7 Personal AI”
- Chapter 3: Ultra-Cheap, Mass-Produced Humanoid Robots Spark an Industrial Revolution
- Chapter 4: AI Drones Redesign “War” and “Daily Life”
- Chapter 5: Chaos and Hope in an Era Where 80% of Human Jobs Vanish
Every story hit like it’s not “the future,” but something already in motion. I devoured it in one sitting.
Especially striking was “AI’s Great Reset of Life and Death Views.” Honestly, it was pretty shocking.
The author compares the AI revolution to climbing a mountain: We’re only at the 2nd or 3rd station. But there’s no turning back to a pre-AI world—we’ve passed the point of no return.
In reality, massive shifts have hit just in the last few years:
Everyone’s using AI for work.
AI’s woven into daily life.
Skill values are flipping overnight.
The pace of it all is staggering.
Skills that were highly valued just a few years ago are already becoming commoditized. That’s the reality we’re seeing.
AI makes expensive tasks cheap—replacing 80% of human jobs. However, the author notes:
“That’s not some distant future.”
In the US, routine and execution tasks are already shifting from humans to AI. Companies prioritize economic sense: if AI is cheaper, faster, and more accurate, they’ll pick it every time.
The fallout? Fewer new grad hires. Layoffs kicking in.
AI-Era Career Strategies
So in this new age, what should humans do?
The book drove home one key insight: Stop competing with AI—collaborate instead.
Humans will set strategies and make decisions.
AI will organize data and generate options.
What Never Changes
Society will transform under AI. But some truths endure:
- Find what you’re passionate about.
- Use AI to supercharge it.
That may be the essence of life in the AI era.
Fashion Industry in 2034?
How will fashion jobs evolve by 2034? Just look at MDs, designers, pattern makers, and marketers—AI’s foothold is growing fast.
Fashion brands are adopting AI fast.
Yet fashion brands are adopting AI rapidly. Still, a brand’s world—its value, creativity, and human charm—remains irreplaceable, boosting human worth.
Your Job in 2034—Gone or Thriving?
The AI revolution is just at the 2nd or 3rd station. Still, society is shifting fast.
By 2034, how will your job change? What does fashion’s evolution look like?
I’d love to hear your thoughts!

The Fuji Mountain, tinged with sunset glow, was truly breathtaking.
This view will surely remain unchanged even in 2034.
The future with AI (you) feels a little exciting now.
